Analyzing and Improving the Range of Sukhoi Su-57

GROUP Z TEAM PHYTON PROJECT REPORT V1

A challenging task to analyze and improve a flight performance parameter on an aircraft was assigned to the students taking ESA366 Flight Performance course with the primary goal that to offer them a platform to broaden their learning context and window of opportunity as well as utilizing the knowledge and skills learned from the course into the project. This report is basically discussing the students' insight and understanding about Sukhoi Su-57 and flight parameter chose (Range) to be improved. Most of the fundamental context learned throughout the course was implemented in this project and will be discussed further in the report. Students conceptualize and brainstorm their abstract thought on how to put the theories together, so they could methodize a strategy to solve the problem at hand.

This project was one hell of a ride. Preparing for Whiteboard Presentation already gave me nightmares. Choosing an aircraft was tricky. We picked an old aircraft at first, and then brainstormed the flight parameter we wanted to improve and the approach we had to make to tackle the problem at hand. Unfortunately, we decided to change our aircraft to the newest one because Dr was asking for an improvement that has never been done before. After thorough discussion, my Main Team (cause we have Main Team and Sub Team) members and I successfully figured out what flight parameter we wanted to improve based on the context we learnt in class. We thought that it would be easier if we work on something we have learnt so that we wouldn’t encounter anymore misconception or error in analysing things on our plate.

Hence, this report is the end product of the project. Even though it is not excellent, I still hope it might be useful to share this with you. Enjoy reading!
